Payment plan and cancellation policy for the Sober Awkward Retreat
Payment plan: To secure your spot at the Sober Awkward Retreat, a deposit equal to 50% of the total retreat price is required by January 31, 2026. This deposit ensures your reservation and is non-refundable except under certain conditions outlined below.
The remaining balance must be paid in full by March 31, 2026. Failure to complete the payment by this date may result in the forfeiture of your reservation and deposit.
Flights are not included and you will need to book these yourself - nearest airport is Krabi International Airport Thailand
Cancellation policy:
Cancellation up to two months before the retreat: Cancellations made on or before June 15, 2026, are permitted and the deposit will be refunded minus administration fee $350. This policy allows us to cover costs already incurred and secure alternative bookings.
Cancellation within two months of the retreat: Cancellations made after August 15, 2026, will result in the forfeiture of the entire amount paid, unless a replacement participant is found.
Replacement clause: If a cancellation occurs and a replacement participant is found for your spot, either through your efforts or by our waiting list, you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit, minus $350 administration fee.
We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover the full duration of the retreat. This should include Trip cancellation or interruption coverage.
Exceptional circumstances: In cases of extreme circumstances such as severe illness, natural disasters, or emergencies beyond your control, we will review your situation on a case-by-case basis. Documentation may be required to support your claim. Under these conditions, a full or partial refund may be issued at the discretion of the retreat organisers. However, these exceptional circumstances should be covered by your comprehensive travel insurance.
Terms and conditions: The deposit is non-transferable to future events unless explicitly agreed upon by the organisers. All cancellations must be communicated in writing via email to the retreat’s official contact address. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 business days of the replacement participant’s confirmation or approval of an exceptional circumstance claim. By making the deposit payment, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Flexibility of timetable: While we strive to deliver the retreat programme exactly as advertised, the timetable may need to change due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather events, availability of local providers, or other factors beyond our control. In such cases, we will ensure that any changes maintain the spirit, quality, and value of the retreat. No refunds will be offered in these instances, but we will do our utmost to provide an alternative experience of equal quality.
